All goods supplied by Bowerbird Pickers are sold subject to the following Terms and Conditions:
Condition, Age & Dimensions
Most of the goods we sell and supply are reclaimed or salvaged goods and subsequently exhibit wear and tear from previous use. Bowerbird Pickers makes every effort to inform the customer about the general condition of the items we sell, but it is up to the customer to satisfy themselves that the condition, quality and function of the goods is suitable for the purpose and use required. Bowerbird Pickers will give buyers the opportunity to visually inspect any goods and we endeavour to give a true and accurate description, together with photos of goods.
All ages quoted are approximate and are given to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale. All dimensions, areas, volumes or weights quoted are given as approximate. We will use imperial or metric systems at our discretion.
Background & History of Goods
Wherever possible Bowerbird Pickers will provide information regarding the history of reclaimed items but can give no guarantee as to the accuracy of this information and no reliance should be placed on this information.
Any prices quoted may vary without prior notice. All prices quoted on Bowerbird Pickers website are in Australian Dollars excluding packaging and freight charges.
Use of Goods
The customer must satisfy himself that any goods ordered by him are suitable for the purpose for which they will be used. We hereby give notice that none of our employees are authorised to advise or recommend the suitability or otherwise of any product or products, and will not accept responsibility for any damage or loss directly or indirectly arising as a result of any incorrect or inadequate advice or recommendation. All goods are ‘sold as seen online’.
Once goods are paid for they may, at the discretion of Bowerbird Pickers, be stored free of charge at our premises for an agreed period, not usually exceeding 4 weeks. Whilst we will make every endeavour to keep these items secure the risk is with the purchaser. After the agreed free storage time has elapsed Bowerbird Pickers retain the right to charge storage fees, or if the goods remain on our property for more 6 months without prior agreement, to resell the item without refund to the customer. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure they arrange collection of their goods within the 4 week period. Bowerbird Pickers will not charge storage fees if we organise freight and packaging which takes longer than the 4 week period.
Items may be reserved with an initial 20% deposit for two weeks only. If payment for goods has not been received and cleared upon the two week time frame, then deposit is forfeighted and goods will be readvertised for sale.
Returns & Refunds
The vast majority of the goods we sell are reclaimed, salvaged or antique. It is the customers sole responsibility to satisfy themselves that the condition, description, quality, and function of any goods are suitable for the purpose intended at the time of purchase. There will be no refunds if a customer simply changes their mind, decides they do not like the purchase, or has no use for it, or discovers they can buy the goods or services cheaper elsewhere, or has damaged the goods in any way.
If you wish a refund, you will then have 7 days during which time you may return the goods for a full refund, excluding return freight and packaging costs. After that, any returns will be at Bowerbird Picker's discretion. In the case of email, online or phone sales, where the customer has not physically examined the goods they must notify Bowerbird Pickers within 5 days of receiving their goods that they want to return. On approval by Bowerbird Pickers, goods must be dispatched at purchasers cost including insurance of goods back to Bowerbird Pickers.
A full refund of any items will only be considered for once the goods arrive back to us in the same condition, quality and quantity as first sold online within 14 days.
The cost of returning goods will be at the purchasers expense.
