    Great looking "Simpson's" Blue and White original South Australian Railway Notice enamel sign, some rust on edging but all main lettering and colouring are intact on this early 20th century sign. A must for every Australian Railway collector and certainly one of Simpson's collectable enamels.

     

    Steam engines ran in South Australia from 1856 to 1970 ending an impressive 100+ year history.  Interesting information can be found here at the National Railway Musuem at Port Adelaide in S.A.: http://www.natrailmuseum.org.au.
